Cancellations and Refunds

We believe learning should be a rewarding experience, and we are committed to excellence in our course content and providing you with the highest quality learning experience.


However, we understand that situations may arise where a cancellation/refund is necessary. EC-Council strives to provide transparency and customer satisfaction, and for that, we have created a cancellation and refund policy that governs refund requests. 


Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our cancellation/refund guidelines for different types of programs.



Refund Guidelines for Micro-courses, Learning Paths, and Bundles


 If you're not satisfied with any of our micro-courses, learning paths, and bundles, you may ask us for refund within seven (7) days from the date of purchase. During this seven (7) day period ,  we will provide you a refund, subject to the terms of our refund policy.


Note: Refunds are only available for the mentioned products if requested within 7 days of purchase. We will not be able to process any refund requests that have been made after the expiration of the period of seven (7) days.



How to request a refund?


Please send an email to [email protected] within 7 days of purchase. Your email must provide us with the details of the product you purchased, and the email address associated with your EC-Council Learning account. We will endeavor to promptly assist you in getting a refund for your courses, learning paths, or bundles as per our refund policy.


Please note that the refunds will be credited back to the source account, and it may take 2-3 weeks for the refunds to reflect in your account depending upon your bank partner. No refunds will be processed in cash.

Partial Refunds

We do not have the provision for partial refunds. This means that once you have purchased any of our programs and chosen to pay through an instalment plan, we cannot offer refunds for a portion of the fees paid. We value your understanding of this policy as we strive to ensure consistency and fairness for all our participants. Refunds/Cancellations for EC-Council Pro Subscriptions (Without Trial)


When you cancel your subscription, all future charges linked to your subscription will stop, subject to the provisions of our refund policy . 


Scenario 1: Subscription canceled after 7 days of purchase


Please note you will not receive a refund for the unused portion of your current billing period. However, you will still retain access to the subscription benefits until the end of your current billing period. For example, if you have a monthly subscription plan and you cancel it on the 15th of the month, you will continue to have access to the subscription content and benefits until the 28th of that month, if it is your next billing date.



Scenario 2: Subscription canceled within 7 days of purchase


Please note you may receive a refund if you cancel your subscription within 7 days of the purchase. For example, if you take a monthly subscription plan on 1st August 2023 and you cancel it on or before the 7th August 2023, you will be eligible for refunds upon request. 

Note: Learners who have taken a trial subscription are not eligible for a refund.

Refunds/Cancellations for EC-Council Pro Subscriptions (With 7-Day Trial)


When your 7-day trial ends, your annual or monthly EC-Council Pro membership will be automatically renewed based on the plan you select when subscribing. You can cancel your 7-day trial any time before the renewal from your EC-Council Pro account.


We do not provide a money-back guarantee for subscription plans that have utilized our 7-day trial. The purpose of the trial is to allow you to explore and evaluate EC-Council Learning to ensure it meets your ongoing learning requirements. Throughout the trial period, you have unrestricted access to all micro-courses and platform features, enabling you to make an informed decision before your subscription renews. Please note that once you have utilized the trial and subscribed to a plan, refunds are not available.



Refunds for Certifications and Scholarships


Please note that no refunds are applicable for EC-Council’s certification and scholarship programs. We encourage you to carefully evaluate your eligibility, interest, and terms and conditions before enrolling in these programs.

Refund Process After a Request is Raised 

Upon submitting a refund request to our customer support team, an acknowledgment email will be dispatched to inform you of the successful receipt of your request. We will subsequently assess the eligibility of your refund application and proceed with the necessary steps if deemed applicable. Notification of the outcome—whether approval or rejection—will be communicated to you. .

Upon commencement of the refund procedure, please anticipate a processing period of 2 to 3 weeks for the funds to be reflected in your bank account. Your patience during this period is greatly appreciated.


Reasons for Denied Refunds

Our 7-day refund policy is designed to provide learners with a risk-free initiation, although we must also exercise vigilance to prevent potential abuse from individuals seeking to exploit this policy.

We maintain the right, at our sole discretion, to impose limitations on or decline refund requests in situations where we suspect misuse of the refund process. 

This includes, but is not restricted to, the following scenarios:

  • Refund requests submitted beyond the stipulated timeframe for eligibility, as outlined in our refund policy, will be denied.
  • Learners who have already completed a portion of the course, demonstrated by assessments or progress tracking, may not be eligible for a refund.
  • Refund requests made without prior engagement with our technical support team to address technical issues or difficulties faced during the course may be denied.
  • Refunds may be denied for courses acquired through special promotional or bundle offers, where terms explicitly state that such purchases are non-refundable.
  • If a course's price has been subsequently reduced after the learner’s purchase, refund requests based solely on the reduced price difference may not be approved.
  • If there is evidence of improper sharing or misuse of course materials, access, or resources, a refund request will  be rejected.
  • Learners who frequently request refunds for various courses without substantial reasons may have their subsequent refund requests denied.
  • No refund will be granted for any transaction for which a chargeback has been denied by the bank.
  • Refund requests will be denied if the learner’s EC-Council account/s are reported, banned, or course access revoked due to violations of our Terms & Conditions Policy.


Additional terms:

  • Please note that we will credit the full amount, less the handling charges, convenience fee, bank charges and/or applicable taxes.
  • If you have a good faith belief that there has been a fraudulent transaction through your account and the payment has been made to us fraudulently, then you should promptly but no later than three (3) business days write to us at [email protected] We will at upon your request promptly and take the required action.
  • If you have been charged multiple times for the same product or service, you should immediately write to us at [email protected] and provide us with the relevant documentation to support your claim. We shall upon internal due diligence process refunds for all valid claims.
  • You agree to contact us to request refunds upon the occurrence of the above situations instead of creating a chargeback directly with your partnering bank, card associations or payment gateways.
