Overview

Network analysis has become a powerful tool for criminal investigation, identifying the three principal areas of study and applications of social networks in criminological research. The course begins with the introduction of network security. We will also learn about Lab setup, VM Installation, and OS Installation. We will then move to learn about routers and firewalls. Here, we will get to know about what a router does, its setup and router attacks. We will then proceed to major network attacks like malware attacks, phishing, sniffing and various injection attacks. Moving forward, we will learn about wireless security and various attack tools. Further, we will learn about network monitoring tools such as Nmap, Wireshark and tcpdump. We then finally get to know about the various browser and password security methods.
