Wireshark is one of the most powerful network protocol analyzers used by ethical hackers, cybersecurity professionals, and network administrators to monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network traffic. Understanding how data moves across a network is crucial for identifying vulnerabilities, detecting malicious activities, and strengthening security defenses. This course provides hands-on training on using Wireshark effectively to capture, decrypt, and analyze network traffic, empowering learners with the skills needed to perform in-depth network forensics and security assessments.

This course begins with enabling monitor mode to capture wireless traffic, decrypt WiFi communications, and analyze USB traffic. Learners will then explore introductory network analysis, including interactions with Nmap, analyzing ICMP traffic, and detecting anomalies in HTTP packets. The course further delves into credential theft techniques by demonstrating how passwords, images, and sensitive files can be extracted from captured packets. Advanced sections cover detecting and analyzing cyberattacks, such as SSL stripping, MAC flooding, and denial-of-service attacks. Participants will also learn to identify bot-infected hosts, detect brute-force attempts, and analyze captured data using tools like VisualEther and PCAP2XML.
