David Hunter
David Hunter is a life-long technologist who believes in a future where winning organizational strategy is defined by the unique combination of human and machine capital. That means ensuring that technology acts as an enabler for business, not a constraint. He has held progressively senior positions directing globally distributed teams on high-value initiatives in the areas of operational productivity, enterprise risk management, robotic automation, resource and capacity optimization, and process re-engineering. He is currently the Global IS/IT Portfolio & PMO Manager for a premium retail boutique and e-commerce-based espresso and coffee business unit at a Switzerland-based Fortune 100. He is also a global volunteer with the Project Management Institute, contributing to certification development, and publications, and supporting the Board of Directors through the NextGen Insights Team. Previously, David was Head of Technology at an award-winning multi-billion-dollar private wealth firm for high-net-worth clientele. He has been designing scalable enterprise systems for almost two decades, helping organizations walk the line between business value and cutting-edge technology adoption. Distributed trust is always a core topic, and as a practitioner of Hyperledger Fabric, he has come to believe that is one of the most under-the-radar ecosystems for organizations of all sizes to solve many problems that were only possible with large teams and multi-million dollar budgets.
